The Yale run Humanitarian Research Lab was recently de-funded by President for Life hopeful Donald Trump‘s administration and Elon Musk‘s illegal DOGE. The lab’s servers contained evidence linked to the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russian President for Life Vladimir Putin‘s forces. Russian forces have abducted children from families and orphanages in territories they’ve stolen from Ukraine to be adopted by Russian families. It is believed they are being indoctrinated into Russian culture in an attempt to erase their ethnic Ukrainian heritage. The researchers no longer have access to the database and fear it may have been permanently erased (The Independent).
Data collected by the Yale project on more than 30,000 Ukrainian children held at “dozens of locations” in Russia may now be gone, according to a letter Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio, and more than a dozen other members of Congress sent to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday. USA Today
Evidence held in the Yale database can be used to help repatriate stolen children and by the ICC for prosecution of war criminals. Donald Trump promised Zelensky the US would work to bring the abducted Ukraine children home during a Wednesday phone call.
The State Department issued a statement saying the data had not been erased; there has been no independent verification of this claim.
