On 21 June 2025 the US joined the Israeli Iran missile conflict by bombing the three major Iranian nuclear processing sites (AP). The touted bunker buster bomb was dropped on the Fordow nuclear enrichment site buried deep beneath the ground.
Trump claimed the Fordow site was “obliterated” (Axios) but it’s too early to make that call (Tressa Guenov).
Speaking of time; the US strikes come on the 9th day of the Israel Iran crisis and 21 days after the International Atomic Energy Administration report dated 31 May 2025.
“Iran can convert its current stock of 60 percent enriched uranium into 233 kg of WGU in three weeks at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), enough for 9 nuclear weapons, taken as 25 kg of weapon-grade uranium (WGU) per weapon.
