In yet another diversionary move the House Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep James Comer (R-KY), subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton. They are to provide testimony concerning the list of names associated with Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophile ring (BBC). Obviously this action is to deter democratic support for the growing call to release the files as President Donald Trump promised to do during his election campaign.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced her department, after conducting a review, had found no evidence of the client list. This was not long after Bondi informed Trump he was on that list according to the Wall Street Journal (The Hill).
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson called an early recess in July to block a House vote on a measure to compel the DOJ to release the files.
