Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday voted down four efforts from Democrats to subpoena records related to Jeffrey Epstein. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase said he would be happy to comply with the subpoena.
“We regret any association with that man (Jes Staley) at all. And, of course, if it’s a legal requirement, we would conform to it. We have no issue with that,” Dimon told reporters after leaving a Senate GOP lunch. “I think what happened to those women is terrible and any role we played in it.” The Hill
So what is the big deal? Why do Republican members of the Judiciary Committee shoot down the subpoena effort? What if Dimon made the material publicly available of his own accord?
Because, according to Bondi, there are over 100 names of important people implicated in those files. “We can’t avoid justice to avoid embarrassment for some very powerful men” Representative Thomas Massie.
