Trip to the UN

Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations amid protests and heckling. Protesters outside held signs and chanted slogans. Many of the delegates left their seats in protest.

Netanyahu told fellow world leaders on Friday that his nation “must finish the job” against Hamas in Gaza, “Western leaders may have buckled under the pressure,” he said. “And I guarantee you one thing: Israel won’t.”

“Anti-semitism dies hard. In fact, it doesn’t die at all,” Netanyahu said. Netanyahu routinely accuses his critics of antisemitism (NPR).

The article downplays Netanyahu’s accusation of antisemitism. Let’s analyze his statement.

The Western Press downplayed years of terrorist and rocket attacks, financed by Iran, against Israel. This began after Israel unilaterally withdrew it’s troops and forced Jewish settlers from Gaza in 2005. The Western Press has frequently mischaracterized Gaza as a concentration camp and Hamas as holy warriors.

An example can be found in the pictures in this article; “Gaza before and after: Satellite images show destructionBBC. Which pictures show the concentration camp that existed before the war?

The Western Press accused Israel of being an ethnostate. Israel’s population is 10 million, about 2 million of those are Palestinians who hold Israeli citizenship and don’t live in the territories. There are Palestinians representatives in the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. Israel is a non sectarian state with Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze and even atheist citizens. WIkipedia

The Western Press under reported the UNRWA’s involvement in promoting hatred and anti semitism in Gaza Schools. Children were groomed for decades to learn hatred for Jews with the help of UN supplied teaching materials, including textbooks.

A 2018 article in The Times of Israel cited examples including the lionization of Dalal al-Mughrabi, who led a 1978 attack on a bus in Tel Aviv that killed more than 30  people, as a “heroine and martyr of Palestine,” and the description of the victims of an attack in Psagot, a settlement in the occupied West Bank, as “a barbecue party.”

A 2013 New York Times article said that Gaza schools run by Hamas and the U.N. both use the Palestinian Authority curriculum that is also taught throughout the West Bank, but that “Hamas has added programs, like a military training elective” and other teachings to “infuse the next generation with its militant ideology.”To Shape Young Palestinians, Hamas Creates Its Own Textbooks NY Times

The Hamas program teaching children of Gaza messages to hate Jews with the UNRWA’s assistance was largely ignored by Western Press and the United Nations. After 18 years of child grooming Hamas conducted it’s attack Oct 7 attacks. Of the boys accompanying the attackers, filming rapes and murders on their cell phones, some were as young as 10 years.

Getting Muslims to attack Jews is a white supremacist’s wet dream.

Speaking of the 7 October 2023 attack; when is the last time it was cited in the news? Ask yourself, if any other nation were dealing with terrorists hiding behind their own people and holding hostages would there be the outcry we see today? This outcry has been encouraged, if not created by, The Western Press.

There was outrage over pictures of Shani Louk, raped and murdered victim of Hamas, when they were shown in the press. The publishers were criticized as Islamaphobic. The images have disappeared from Western media.

Are there facts to back up Netanyahu’s accusation of anti Semitism? Yes; and the reaction of delegates at the UN is not the least of them.
