US Vice President and Donald Trump lackey JD Vance is in Hungary. It’s election time and he’s there to prop up his and Donald’s buddy Prime Minister for life Viktor Orban. Vance is really into foreign interference, more so than doing his job in the Senate it seems.
Since Orbán resumed office in 2010, Hungary has experienced democratic backsliding and weakened judicial independence, while witnessing an increase in corruption and the establishment of governmental agencies with stricter oversight of the press and media. During his second premiership, several controversial constitutional and legislative reforms were made, including the 2013 amendments to the Constitution of Hungary. Orban is basically a dictator disguised as an elected official.
Orban first held the post of Prime Minister from 1998 to 2002. He then began a second term that started in 2010 and continues today. Orban is critical of Ukraine and it’s Euromaiden protests that ousted Viktor Yanukovich. Orban, Yanukovich, Vance and Trump are all big fans of Russian President for Life Vladimir Putin. Vlad is allied with Iran and buys their drones to launch at Ukrainian civilian targets. More on that later.
