US protector of dictators Donald Trump signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Iran today. It’s a far cry from the victory he claimed at the beginning of this conflict. Some might even say, with the release of frozen assets to the Iranian Theocracy, it’s capitulation.

Originally Trump told the people that most of his (unstated) war objectives were met and that US operations should finish up in 2 or 3 weeks. Trump said the US held all the cards. I am sure what he meant to say was the US held some cards except for control over the Straits of Hormuz. Recently he has tried to duck out of responsibility for Iran’s shut down of traffic through the passage and push it off on NATO.
Trump’s cheerleader and Secretary of Defense, err War Pete Hegseth declared that “regime change” has been achieved in Iran. That is nonsense. The Ayatollah’s son Motjaba Khamenei and Iran’s Masoud Pezeshkian are running the exact same regime that existed before.
Hegseth’s inability or refusal to open the Straits of Hormuz is worthy of scrutiny. This was a predictable move by Iran – they did the same thing in the 1980s. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem to stop Iranian attacks on shipping. The Russian yacht that sailed through the straits tells us there are no mines in those waters.
For the fascists to rule the world through different leaders, loyal to them, the rest of the people in the world must view the citizens of the nations as loyal to those leaders. It doesn’t do for people in the US and Europe to recognize the plight and protests of other people. An example is the Ayatollah and his religio-fascist regime. The nazi man gods want people to view other nations as homogeneous and loyal to their appointed rulers.
That’s why these protests rarely receive any press. Only when protests are so vehement they can’t be ignored do they make the news, like the recent ones where 30K+ Iranian protesters were killed or when the Mahsa Amini protests happened. The Palestinians opposed to Hamas rule are labelled “gangs” or “clans” in the press; not opposition fighters.

Recent protests have shown us a strategy of the Trump regime and his masters in Mordor. Trump attacked Venezuelan drug boats and then scared the Venezuelan people with a threat of invasion. Nicolas Maduro was replaced with Diosdado Cabello, represented by Delcy Rodriguez, running the exact same regime. The only real difference in Venezuela was the people were no longer protesting against their dictators and the rest of the world has forgotten them.
This action in Iran is the exact same strategy, fake regime change and the forced submission of Iranians back to their appointed leaders. After a few weeks of US bombs they will be less worried about their tyrannical leaders and more worried about being blown up. Meanwhile the Iranian Theocracy is more entrenched than it was.

The best way to get away with a crime is to make people think no crime has been committed.
This brings us to the point. The reason these attacks began was because of the Iranian anti government protests. The elder Khamenei was killed in an Israeli strike which may have been off script. On the ground in Iran nothing has changed with the exception of the anti government movement; it’s gone. This isn’t surprising as Trump and Motjaba Khamenei are cut from the same mold.
The method used to make people forget the actual purpose; extend this thing out as long as possible and get someone else to make Trump stop. People will forget about the Iranians who desire democracy in time. Not making an effort to open the straits caused financial stress. This gives Trump an out. Trump even attempted to push responsibility for opening the straits on NATO.
Trump recently tried to make Netanyahu his fall guy. He’s been dealing with the Iranian proxy terrorist group Hezbollah that has taken over a huge part of Lebanon. Hezbollah has been painted as heroes by anti Semites in the Western Press. The Lebanese government doesn’t seem in a hurry for Israeli forces to leave however. Hezbollah would have been stopped decades ago, like Hamas, had Western pressure not stayed Israel’s hand. Allowing these groups to grow, fester and recruit more boys created a much bigger problem. None of this should have happened.
