Ukraine claims that Space X’s Starlink is throttling their internet service causing disruptions of drone operators in their battle against Vladimir Putin‘s < imperial ambitions. This comes as Ukraine has made breakthroughs in the Russian front in four places (Newsweek).
The last time Ukraine began an offensive was September of 2023 (House of Lords Library). During the same time period Joe Biden was shipping new battle tanks (CNN) and long range missiles (CNBC) to Ukraine. On 4 October of that year Matt Gaetz < was able to use his coalition with Democrats to oust Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House and use Mike Johnson to effectively table US aid to Ukraine. On 7 October 2023 Hamas launched it’s attack on Israel and the press forgot about the Russia Ukraine War.
Elon Musk, < owner of Starlink, pointed his finger at Donald Trump. < Ukraine uses the service called Starshield that is contracted through Starlink, with the permission of the US Department of Defense.
“Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS,” Musk said in a post on X. Newsweek
Maybe Secretary of Defense, err… War, Pete Hegseth < had something to do with it. The US far right’s obsession with the former KGB agent and Soviet Union throwback Vlad Putin is interesting to say the least.
Did you know? Currently the far right wing German Alternative for Germany party (AfD) has aligned with their far left party, the Alliance for Social Justice and Economic Reason (BSW) to oppose German assistance for Ukraine. Both parties support Vladimir Putin. Reuters
I’m sure the man gods of Mordor are tickled pink.
This event should be a wake-up call. A monopoly on internet communications is dangerous like any other consolidation of power. Too easy for evil forces to take over.
