What is it about Russia’s interest in US politics? It’s fairly obvious from the success of the reign of President for Life Putin that Russians haven’t been able to wrap their brains around the idea of Democracy yet. I guess from a historical perspective it makes sense.

Today in the news, CBS has a story that Donald Trump is furious with former intelligence director Joseph Maguire for allowing one of his subordinates to tell House members that Russia favors him in the 2020 elections. I’m not thinking the House members were overly surprised by this fascinating tidbit of top secret information.

What is interesting is this CNN article about Bernie Sanders being briefed about Russian efforts to help his campaign as well. Well how about that? Hedging one’s bet is never a bad idea. Someone needs to educate the Kremlin on self-determination and transparency in the political process.
