Michael Flynn’s case

Wonder Boy Michael Flynn, former Lt General, National Security Advisor and Director of Military Intelligence is attempting to get his charges dismissed and re appointed into Trump’s D.C. At 62, his amazing rise to power has made him one of the most influential men in National Security and Intelligence policy. He even had time to start his own security consulting firm, Flynn Intel Group.

He registered as a Foreign Agent when it became apparent some of his lobbying was to the benefit of Turkey. Later, revelations arose he may have lied to Vice President Pence about his relations with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak,

This all came about as a result of the probe into campaign meddling by the Russians. Some questions remain unanswered but, Flynn lied to the FBI to cover someone’s butt. It may have been his own, the president’s or the AG’s. He accepted the plea deal to get out of a recommended jail term of up to 5 years. This guy, according to Judge Sullivan, “sold your country out,” and should do jail time.

The plea deal keeps his possible confinement limited to 6 months. Not a bad deal for a man in a position of trust and authority who may be a traitor. He didn’t actually get any jail time. Was that good enough? NO! in January of this year he attempted to rescind his guilty plea. What’s more, Attorney General Barr has decided the Department of Justice is going to drop the charges against his old buddy Flynn.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the case has already been decided. The man plead guilty; the charges have been legally resolved.

According to Federal Judge John Gleeson, AG Barr’s attempts to have charges dropped against Flynn are highly “irregular.” He also said that if it weren’t the Trump administration behind it any judge would scoff at the attempts. He recommends the motion to dismiss the charges should be denied in his report.

What I’ve noticed about this whole thing is Flynn’s plea took attention away from suspicions Russians meddled with the US electoral process. If they did meddle it didn’t work; Trump lost the popular vote by an unprecedented 3 million votes. Investigating it is almost pointless unless it is a distraction for some other strange dealings between the US and the Russian Federation. In turn, now that Flynn’s case is back in the spotlight, the AG is suddenly dealing with some Federal Judge in New York he’s trying to replace. That case is detracting attention away from Wonder Boy Flynn.
