Barr’s Unmasking Probe

John Bash, appointed by the DOJ to probe the “unmasking” of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn by the Obama administration completed his investigation with no charges and no public statement (NY Post). Conspiracy theorists claim Flynn was unmasked by the intelligence community as part of the probe into Trump’s ties with Russia and President Putin during the 2016 elections. Bash (appointed by William Barr) and his staff found no wrongdoing and brought no charges. The DOJ has made no statement regarding the investigation. Bash resigned his post on October 5th for a position in the private sector.

The truth is it was a sham investigation in the first place. It seems to me Barr is attempting to distract attention away from past exploits. The same thing was done to Valerie Plame by his old boss’ administration. More amusing is right wing conspiracy theorists grasping these insane claims. It’s as if they are afraid of losing face due the actions of those who have been controlling their party. Anything going on behind the scenes transcends political parties.

The unmasking of CIA operative Valerie Plame was criminal. During the investigation of who leaked her identity it was found Richard Armitage of the State Department under George Bush Jr’s administration was responsible. I. Lewis Libby was convicted of lying to investigators during the probe. He was Dick Cheney’s Chief of Staff. Libby’s sentence was commuted by Bush (Barr’s old boss) and Trump pardoned him. The unmasking of Plame put her and her husband’s lives in danger. Her husband had claimed the White House manipulated intelligence in their effort to justify the Iraq War.
