Former President Donald Trump is offering to lead a group to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine (Business Insider). Quite a turn around from some of his previous statements.

“In March, Trump said he would send nuclear submarines to go “up and down” Russia’s coast to pressure Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Trump also suggested that the US put Chinese flags on its fighter jets and use them to “bomb the shit” out of Russia.” (Business Insider)

The recent Ukraine advances and the threat of losing Sevestapol, a Russian naval base in Crimea, might make a peace settlement appealing to the god of Trump and Putin. Besides, Trump could be touted as a peace maker and savior despite past comments. Might even have a chance at running again-giving the gods another presidential term to play with.
