Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister of the UK, has commented on the views of Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson (Business Insider). Of particular concern to Johnson is his characterization of Russian Federation President for Life and former KGB agent Vladimir Putin.
Putin is the aggressor in an illegal and immoral war. He has been out to take over Ukraine territory since the ouster of Viktor Yanukovich in 2014. His forces have committed atrocities including rape torture and murder of innocent civilians. His artillery regularly targets civilian housing and infrastructure; also a war crime. Waiting until the US midterms was probably just a fluke.
According to an article entitled “Leaked Kremlin Memo to Russian Media: It Is ‘Essential’ to Feature Tucker Carlson” (Mother Jones) Putin is also a big fan of Carlson. The memo states in part “It is essential to use as much as possible fragments of broadcasts of the popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who sharply criticizes the actions of the United States [and] NATO..”
Who’s side is Carlson on anyway? Is he trying to undermine support for Ukraine’s right to self determination? Is he trying to get the GOP to sabotage the US and NATO’s credibility? This would be boon for Xi Jinping who has his sights set on Taiwan.
It is obvious the free world needs to stand up to the tyrant Putin, not just for Ukraine but for future generations. Anti American mouthpieces hiding their true nature behind flag waving are not beneficial to the cause of democracy.

These are the birth (top) and death charts of Johann Baptist Albin Rauter (4 February 1895 – 24 March 1949). He was an Austrian born Nazi officer who was in charge of SS activities in occupied Netherlands. He reported directly to Heinrich Himmler. He was in charge of two concentration camps and deported no less than 110,000 Jews to Germany. He executed a number of Dutch dissenters. He was tried by the Dutch in The Hague and sentenced to death. He was put to death by firing squad in 1949.
This man is Rush Limbaugh (January 12, 1951 – February 17, 2021). Rush was a right wing radio commentator with controversial views. After the repeal of the FCC’s fairness doctrine Rush was able to air his political opinions without providing for opposing views. Attempts to reinstate the policy were vetoed or threatened to be vetoed by Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. This turned him into the mouthpiece of the Neo Con faction. He took a brief stint as a NFL commentator but resigned after a few weeks due to racist remarks. He continued his talk show often making ridiculous claims blaming leftists for things like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and the Christchurch mosque shootings. He also consistently blamed the democrats for the failures of the Neo Con faction, particularly the economy. His tactics of cutting off or talking over those with different views made sure he never appeared to lose an argument, to his audience anyway. He died of complications from lung cancer in 2021.
