60 minutes is airing an interview with masked “Mossad agents” detailing the exploding radio attack against Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon (CBSNews). The “agents” go into great detail on the plan to get these exploding walkie talkies manufactured and into the hands of Hezbollah fighters.
There is no way in hell this guy is a Mossad agent. No agent is going to give out all the details of an operation, it would compromise capabilities and assets used in the operation. If the guy has turned on his former employers covering his face isn’t going to keep Mossad from figuring out who he is. Information on operations, particularly complicated operations, is compartmentalized. Not many people have knowledge of all the aspects.
If this guy is really a former agent, Mossad already knows who he is. A real agent would know that. Covering his face to keep his identity from Hezbollah and it’s sympathizers makes sense, but if he really turned on Mossad we won’t be hearing from him again. He’d be better off revealing his identity if this were true.
This guy is either a fraud or Mossad is using him to feed misinformation. There is absolutely no reason for Mossad to feed us misinformation. The Israeli government lauds it’s hits on enemy operatives without fail; it intimidates their opponents. They didn’t claim this attack because it probably wasn’t them. If they were to claim it they wouldn’t give out the details and sabotage future operations. This guy is a fraud.
One person who knows what really happened is pictured at the top of the page, and she will never say a word. For a theory on who was behind this attack see this news post. One thing we can say; someone is concerned enough to try to play this off.
