Soon to be president, again, Donald Trump and friend of the late Jeffrey Epstein has petitioned the Supreme Court to pause a ban on TikTok a few weeks before he takes office (NBCNews). As the majority justices of SCROTUS were nominated by himself and former president George Bush Jr, he may succeed.
TikTok has alarmed the Senators who were given an intelligence briefing on it’s potential uses. TikTok can harvest data and influence US citizens. The app also has the potential to track and spy on users (Axios)
In related news; Prince Andrew and friend of the late Jeffrey Epstein is in deep doo doo for his relationship with an alleged Chinese spy (AP). Businessman Yang Tengbo cultivated a friendship with the Prince as an operative of the Chinese Communist Party.
