Political strategist James Carville believes the strategy democrats should adopt is to sit back and do nothing now that President for Life hopeful Donald Trump is in office. Senator Chuck Schumer caved on the budget bill; preferring not to take the blame for a government shut down.
Not attempting to stop Trump’s effort to create a dangerous economic situation is a way to say “I told you so” to supporters of MAGA. Is it worth the damage that will be caused by this catastrophic legislation? Will the democrats be able to stand victorious if they don’t fight, win or fail?
Trump supporters think they are the anti neo-cons; the anti Irving Kristols (Case Study 71). The neo-cons also attempted to sabotage the American economy and used similar Trump economic dogma. Because the right (and the left) supported free trade in the 90’s these followers seem to think Trump tariffs make him different. Static minds can’t keep up with dynamic politics and economics. Trump and George Jr had the same gods who simply played everyone to stay in charge.
We saw deregulation create an economic recession that manifested in 2007-2008. These anti neo-con Trump followers still believe in deregulation. We saw how Reaganomics bloated the disparity of wealth and punished the middle class. The new tax bill will drop taxes on corporations and the wealthy by $4.5 trillion. The Smoot Hawley Tariff Act (1930) was one of the triggers of the Great Depression.
Trump worshipers are not going to put two and two together; they are incapable. This is mass Dunning Kruger Effect coupled with a belief the Satan appearing as an angel in white is actually their god. They will make up reasons not blame Trump. They will say it is Biden’s fault the economy tanks – or possibly Schumer and Carville’s. It will be the global Jewish conspiracy or whatever else; then they will cling to their falsehood as if their ego depends on it.
Could Trump’s god’s dark buddy convince Trump’s opponents not to fight on this same principle; crossing his fingers they will fall for it? The destruction of the economy of the US and it’s trading partners has a purpose; it is a precursor to other chess moves. Does the Trump puppet know what these moves will be? Probably not. Will bad things happen? Probably; time is running short.
