On June 13, 2025 Israel launched strikes on Iranian military and nuclear processing sites. This was in response to findings by the International Atomic Energy Agency report declaring Iran could build 9 nuclear weapons within 3 weeks (Institute for Science and International Security).
The Iranian regime has financed a proxy war in the Middle East to spread it’s influence over the oil producing region. As a part of this effort they have financed groups to oppose Israel as a way to attract support in the Muslim world. The anti Israeli effort and rhetoric dates back to the 1979 and includes the founding of Hezbollah in 1982 (Wikipedia). The Ayatollah’s have consistently threatened Israel with annihilation.
According to confidential sources US President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to eliminate the Ayatollah Khamenei of Iran. The tyrannical regime in Tehran is responsible for oppression and murders in the nation. Iran has been experiencing protests and anti government violence; the Ayatollah is not a popular guy. It is odd Trump would make this request of Netanyahu.
