“US President Donald Trump on Thursday suggested that the federal government might revoke the licenses of broadcast television networks that are ‘against’ him” (CNBC). He did this after Jimmy Kimmel was cut from ABC’s lineup for his comments on Charlie Kirk. Trump is now Disney’s, and Dana Walden’s, favorite demagogue. Walden is co-chairwoman of Disney, the company that owns ABC. She’s the one who decided to censor Kimmel and cut his show. But good old Donald took the blame onto himself and the US government. What a guy!

In September 2025, Walden made the decision to put Jimmy Kimmel Live, a late night television program airing on American Broadcasting Company (ABC), on indefinite suspension due to his comments on the previously aired episode regarding the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk in regards to the investigation. Dana Walden leads ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, Disney Branded Television, Disney Television Studios (20th Television, ABC Signature, 20th Television Animation and Walt Disney Television Alternative), Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content and Onyx Collective. She is also on the President’s Export Council, an advisory committee to the President on issues of International Trade.

Agreeing or disagreeing with Kimmel’s statements isn’t the point – Censorship is.

Back when Trump was running against Harris for the presidency;

Trump has pledged to ‘shatter the left-wing censorship regime’ if re-elected, while the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 proposes ending all government funding for disinformation research. He plans to ban all federal agencies from “colluding with” businesses, organizations or people who attempt to censor any forms of speech (MSN).

Ironic; Trump is expendable, Walden is not.
