According to Turkish media, Yeni Safak, Israel carried out six attacks (YNet) but the Hamas team changed the meeting place at the last minute. This random move saved most of their lives. US President for Life hopeful Donald Trump stated he did not make the decision to attack, and that he tried to warn Qatar but was too late (Time). It is difficult to believe the IDF would conduct a strike on a nation where 10K US troops are stationed without informing the US beforehand (The Week). Politically, Israel ate the big stinky cheese. The attacks could have sabotaged international pressure on Hamas to surrender the hostages and disarm. The operation was designed to force a shift from negotiating with Hamas billionaire expats to leadership in Gaza; leadership in harm’s way. This was a failure as the targeted shifted meeting places.
