Epstein Ranch Update

The State of New Mexico began it’s own investigation into Jeffrey Epstein‘s Zorro Ranch. The state government allotted money and investigators to try to reveal what actually happened there. The state is using cadaver dogs to search the area for bodies of two girls who went missing after visiting the ranch (Firstpost).

The state began searching the Zorro Ranch with cadaver sniffing dogs and drones. The ranch is 7,622 acres. No news of the results has been released yet. But at least New Mexico is doing something albeit years later. This should have been the federal government’s job, it’s a good thing we have state entities to step in when things go south on the Federal level.

The probe is also investigating Epstein’s ties to powerful politicians including former governor and head of the Dept of Energy Bill Richardson and former governor Gary King (NewsMax).

The state previously backed off efforts to investigate after having been asked to by the FBI. They were told a state investigation would hamper the FBI’s efforts. However, In a December 2019 email, a prosecutor told a lawyer for one of Epstein’s estate co-executors that they had “not searched the New Mexico property.”

The Department of Justice deferred inquiries from the Guardian to the FBI. The FBI’s main office, when asked whether they searched the property, said: “Unfortunately, we don’t have a comment.” The FBI office governing Santa Fe similarly said: “We have no comment at this time.” (The Guardian)

Nationally, the face of the Truth Commission’s investigation is New Mexico Representative Melanie Stansbury, who as a member of Congress has had a look at the unredacted files. “I spent a fair amount of my time this morning looking at the files on Zorro Ranch,” she told reporters last month. “There aren’t words to describe what are in those files.” Stansbury has repeatedly emphasized to the press thatboth girls and boyswere abused at the ranch. In other news, Donald Trump may have been dishonest about kicking Jeffrey Epstein out of his Mar a Lago resort. He’s made the claim multiple times but newly surfaced emails from the Epstein files tell a different story. Imagine that.

Responding to whether Epstein was ever expelled from Mar-a-Lago, Garten allegedly replied, “No he was not a member. May have been his guest. Never asked to leave.” Goldberger’s email notes that the person referred to as “Brad” had talked to a manager at Mar-a-Lago, who confirmed that “JE never asked to leave Mar a Lago” (Daily Beast).
