Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro (April 1, 1954 – August 5, 1992) was a founding member and drummer for the pop rock band Toto. He worked extensively as a session drummer and had recorded with bands and artists like Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Diana Ross and Bruce Springsteen.
Porcaro died at the Humana hospital in West Hills. He had been using insecticide at his home. The coroner attributed his death to a heart attack caused by heart disease and cocaine use.
“The Jeff Porcaro Memorial Fund was established to benefit the music and art departments of Grant High School in Los Angeles, where he was a student in the early 1970s. A memorial concert took place at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles on December 14, 1992, with an all-star line-up that included George Harrison, Boz Scaggs, Donald Fagen, Don Henley, Michael McDonald, David Crosby, Eddie Van Halen and the members of Toto. The proceeds of the concert were used to establish an education trust fund for Porcaro’s sons.” WIkipedia

Dylann Storm Roof (born April 3, 1994) is an American white supremacist, neo-Nazi, and mass murderer who perpetrated the Charleston church shooting. He killed nine black Americans and wounded three others. One of those killed was a democrat South Carolina State Senator, Clementa C Pinckney.
The State of South Carolina sentenced Roof to nine consecutive life sentences. His sentence was execution in Federal Court. He is currently on death row at Terre Haut Federal Penitentiary.
Roof had been questioned while casing a shopping mall in Columbia, South Carolina. He had a website called The Last Rhodesian were he posted his manifesto. He had images of flags from Apartheid era South African and Rhodesian white supremacist groups. On the day he was captured (June 18, 2015), Roof confessed to committing the Charleston attack with the intention of starting a race war.
He stated on his website he was influenced by the Council of Conservative Citizens and Harold Covington’s Northwest Front (see Case Study 53). Payton Gendron (see Case Study 57) who killed 9 black people during the 2022 Buffalo Shooting, referred to Roof in his manifesto as an inspiration and wrote Roof’s name on one of his guns.
