Michael Flynn’s Case

Former National Security Advisor and Lt General Michael Flynn‘s lawyers have moved to end the courts to end the case against the dismissal of his guilty plea (Politico). Judge Sullivan has declined to dismiss charges against Flynn, charges he plead guilty to for lying to FBI agents.

Attorney General Barr, in an unprecedented move, dropped the charges even though the plea had been entered in 2017. Many, including Judge Sullivan, believe the AG is overstepping his boundaries and has ordered courts to review the dismissal. The false statements were made relating to his contacts with Russian officials.

It seems this loose end from the Mueller Probe is being tied up and Flynn may get off scott free.
