Michael Caputo will be taking a 60 day leave for mental health reasons (Politico), Caputo is the spokesman of the department of Health and Human Services. His appointment was controversial because of deleted tweets he made in the past. They include racist comments about Chinese people and insensitive comments about democrats. All told, he wasn’t really cut out to be a spokesperson for anything.

Caputo is another Trump appointee who is close with mentor Roger Stone. He lived in Russia from 1994 to 1999 as the president of political organization Florence Company. He is credited for helping Boris Yeltzin get re-elected. In 2000 he returned to the US and worked for Russian oil company Gazprom. One of his tasks was to improve the image of Vladimir Putin in the United States.

Over the weekend Caputo went on a Facebook rant about violent insurrection and accused government scientists of sedition. Whatever got into his head? Hopefully the leave will give him a chance to recoup. I would suggest eating bagels for breakfast to help get grounded. The stress of public office and the Deep State messing with one’s head I’m sure can be intense.
