The Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) is best known for the kidnapping of Patty Hearst and her subsequent involvement in some of their crimes, including bank robbery. The movement was created by lifetime criminal Donald DeFreeze after he escaped from prison.
The stated ideals of the group were the living in harmony of people of all races and beliefs. How that was to be achieved by robbing banks and executing a school superintendent are beyond my comprehension. What they did succeed in doing was painting a black mark on leftists in the minds of most Americans. It all ended in a Los Angeles county shootout with police and a fire.
Patty Hearst was kidnapped and subjected to brainwashing. Some have called into question if she was really programmed or not. It is apparent the group wanted to use her to gain attention to themselves. She was the only one not wearing a mask during the Hibernia bank heist.
Stockholm syndrome is a mental state where captives start to associate and sympathize with their captives. It is named for a case of kidnapping during a bank heist in Stockholm Sweden. The hostages would not testify against their captives. The idea is that when put in a helpless state the captives can manipulate the mind of their victim. It starts with humiliation, deprivation and possibly torture or rape. After a time the treatment is improved with concurrent subjection to religious or political indoctrination. It is the same idea utilized in Xinjiang Re-Education Camps in China.
The Hearsts are not beloved by certain forces in our world. See Case Study 7 and Case Study 8. William Randolph Hearst was a vocal opponent of the Nazi regime and nouveau riche. Conspiracy theories and false accusations abound around families like this. The Kennedys, Rockefellers, JP Morgan and Bill Gates all have false narratives bouncing around on the internet. This is crap fed to the masses by fascists trying to eliminate the power of wealth in those who are pro democracy and forward thinking. These fascists want a Socialist world where wealth is firmly in the control of a small, controllable group of people; similar to feudalism.
