Emmilene Pankhurst

Emmilene Pankhurst (15 July 1858 – 14 June 1928) was a British suffragette. She founded the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) in 1903 dedicated to “deeds, not words.” She and her followers, including her daughters, were repeatedly arrested. They staged protests, hunger strikes and arson attacks. During World War I the group encouraged men to fight and women to work to produce materials necessary for the war effort. Two weeks after her death women over 21 were granted the right to vote in England.

This is Jayne Mansfield (April 19, 1933 – June 29, 1967). Born as Vera Jayne Palmer she was one of the early Playboy Playmates. She was an actress and sex symbol of the 50’s and 60’s known for publicity stunts and “wardrobe malfunctions.” She died in an automobile accident at the age of 34 in New Orleans.

This is Anna Nicole Smith (November 28, 1967 – February 8, 2007). Born Vickie Lynn Hogan, Smith first became famous as the 1993 Playmate of the Year. In 1994 she married 89 year old billionare J Howard Marshall. His 1995 death resulted in a major court battle over inheritance money. Her son’s death of an accidental overdose in 2006 was another highly publicized tragedy/controversy in her life. She became partners with Howard Stern and gained residency in the Bahamas. In 2007 she died of an overdose of a combination of drugs. The death was ruled accidental.

This is Tristyn Bailey (18 January 2008 – 8 May 2021). Tristyn was a Florida middle school student who’s body was found after been reported missing. She had received over 100 stab wounds including defensive ones on her arms. 14 year old Aiden Fucci has been accused of the crime by a St John’s County Grand Jury. He has plead not guilty and his trial for 1st degree murder will begin on July 28.
