Ukraine and Gaza

Ukraine’s forces have been exploiting their breach in Russian defensive positions, moving armor past the lines and preparing for a significant push. This is the Ukraine advance no one thought they could pull off and Western nations were skeptical of (BBC). Russia has responded with the usual drone and missile terror attacks against Ukraine’s civilians and infrastructure.

Vlad Putin‘s forces seem unable to stop their advance. Ukraine reports 580 Russian soldiers have been killed in the last 24 hours. Russian politician and Putin lackey Dmitry Medvedev has called for civil war in the United States. The British Ministry of Defense stated Ukraine has liberated at least 125 sq kilometers of territory (The Guardian).

Poland’s president, Andrzej Duda, says that current violence between Hamas and Israel is useful for RussiaThe Guardian, and he’s absolutely correct.

Hamas’ billionaire leader Abu Marzook‘s assault on Israel has effectively distracted the world from Ukraine’s fledgling, and thus far successful, counter attack. It has also distracted the US from the huge mess in the US House of Representatives created by Matt Gaetz. This has served to temporarily halt US aid to Ukraine while representatives fix this goat rodeo. If the Ukraine aid crisis situation continues President Biden might need to take unilateral action to help Ukraine continue it’s advance. There is also the possibility they become encircled; defeated because of action encouraged by the US and her allies with funding cut off as they begin to succeed.

The timing of Marzook and Gaetz’s actions are synchronized. It’s as if the almighty chess player himself were moving his human pieces around.
