Gunther Ballier (18 October, 1900 Berlin – 20 April 1980 East Berlin) was a German actor who’s career spanned over 40 years. He acted in theater and movies and worked as a voice actor.

During the Nazi era he acted in Nazi propaganda films such as The Girl Johanna (1935) and The Rothschilds (1940). The Rothschilds was an anti – Semitic retelling of the 1934 American movie by the same name. The family has been the subject of right wing conspiracy theories in recent decades.

After World War II he did some stage acting and teaching. The rest of his career was primarily for the DFF (Deutscher Fernsehfunk) or East German government broadcasting company,

He died in 1980 in East Berlin.
