The GOP has taken advantage of the proposal method Biden and his staff used in Congress. Tying aid to Israel, Ukraine and securing the border with Mexico has allowed them to take a position to avoid blame if Ukraine falls to Vladimir Putin. The GOP gods are gleeful.

The question of securing the US border with Mexico boils down to our immigration laws. Immigration laws are written by Congress. Providing extra money for the Border Patrol is something the GOP should applaud. The rest of the job is their job, changing immigration laws.

Rather than tie these three issues, aid to Ukraine, Israel and border enforcement, together; why not submit three different proposals? At least that way the GOP will have to take the blame for whichever issue they drop the ball on.
