Was Yhwh really the god of the Jews?

Perhaps the events chronicled were simply that; observations of events, worldly and other worldly.

Did the Jews think of Abraham the Babylonian as their father?

Yhwh wanted Abraham to come to the land of Canaan which fits the historians claim that Yhwh was a Canaanite god. Yhwh promised Abraham he would rule a great nation. In the same chapter Yhwh and Abraham fool the Pharaoh into revealing the location of his harem with Sarah as the bait. Yhwh attacks the Pharaoh’s harem and gains wealth for Abraham and the leverage that he can terrorize these women to control the King of Egypt.

Abraham wants to be the leader of nations as offered by Yhwh. This story is mirrored in the New Testament. When Jesus is offered rule over the nations by Satan he refuses.

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! Who were Yhwh and Abraham to Jesus and the Jews? The following verse has been used to demonize Jews. It is important to note Jesus isn’t addressing the Jews, he’s addressing a specific group of Jews according their position in the society in that particular lifetime.
