It is ironic that Donald Trump and some of his allies have been attempting to label Democrats as fascist. They have been doing this for years. It doesn’t matter Trump hosted white supremacist Nick Fuentes at his Mar a Lago estate after announcing his run for the 2024 election (CNN). It matters not Trump tried to appoint Matt Gaetz, promoter of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory and friend of holocaust denier Charles C Johnson, to the position of US Attorney General. Trump also enjoys the support of Neo Nazis like David Duke.

The more interesting, if not alarming, aspect of Trump’s rhetoric is that some people actually believe it. Many US voters see the protests by young fringe leftists in support of the terror group Hamas and against Israel’s actions after the October 7th attacks as evidence of their antisemitism. Kamala Harris’ comments about the war drove that suspicion home and cost her the election (Youtube).

Leftist protesters in Portland Oregon tore down statues of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt in October of 2020 (NBCNews). And of course the great shit show of “rapists for Hamas” by giants from Mordor, posing as leftists from the Southwest, and their dragon master (buddy of the almighty Phil also in Mordor), doesn’t help either. Some leftists were led by their dragon to make the Trump narrative appear to be true of all democrats.
