Last week I did a post called Crime and Punishment. It’s about an illegal Guatemalan immigrant that lit a woman on fire in a New York subway station. This is an event that could give soon to be President Trump ammunition for his intention to conduct mass deportations.
The following post, Holocaust in Mexico, highlighted the danger of cartel violence in Mexico. It also covers the repatriation of General Salvador Cienfuegos by Donald Trump and his attorney general William Barr. Cienfuegos was accused by the DEA of running the H2 Cartel (AP).

Another of Trump’s agendas is the repeal of the Affordable Care Act – The Commonwealth Fund
On December 4, 2024, Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot and killed on a Manhattan sidewalk. The man arrested for the crime is Luigi Mangione, a young man from a well to do Baltimore family. Mangione had previously undergone surgery but was not insured by United Healthcare.
It seems unlikely that a man with his potential would “snap.” A man with means could affect the health care system by becoming a lawyer, entering the business of health insurance or becoming a politician.
He has attained hero status with a small percentage of the populace, particularly young people. Most polled consider him a criminal. If this event sways public opinion on the Affordable Care Act remains to be seen. The charges against him include the charge of terrorism which is being contested.
“An Economist/YouGov poll conducted from December 15 to 17 surveying 1,553 U.S. adult citizens found that 43% of American citizens had a “somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable” view of Mangione, while 21% had a “somewhat favorable or very favorable view of him.” 37% were unsure” Wikipedia
