Traitorous

Just when you thought US President for life hopeful Donald Trump couldn’t sink any lower; he went and did. While seeming to channel Phil, he and Vice lapdog JD Vance bushwacked Ukraine President Zelensky (The Atlantic). Predictably (this post) the two created an argument, on camera no less, with Zelensky. The whole charade was an appalling embarrassment to the United States. They even had the gall to attach a struggle for freedom to mining rights. Later, in this CNN interview, Secretary of State and Trump lackey Marco Rubio attempted to turn the tables; he claimed Zelensky had started the argument.

They used fabricated claims that Ukraine refused to negotiate with Russia. Russian President for life and Trump bff Vladimir Putin has broken numerous peace treaties in the past. The Minsk Protocols were a series of peace agreements between Russia and Ukraine. Minsk I was negotiated in September of 2014 and signed by Russia Ukraine, Donbass and Luhansk representatives and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. In January of 2015 Russia broke the peace agreement and sent troops back into Ukraine. In February of 2015 Minsk II was negotiated. This second agreement included a cease fire, a withdrawal of Russian forces and a prisoner exchange. Russia didn’t comply with the prisoner exchange provision.

Amid rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine in early 2022, Russia officially recognised the DPR and LPR on 21 February 2022. Following that decision, on 22 February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the Minsk agreements “no longer existed”, and that Ukraine, not Russia, was to blame for their collapse. Russia then launched a full invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 Wikipedia

The Big T insinuated that Ukraine was losing the war and should therefore surrender it’s territory. Ukraine has gained back almost half the territory Russia took in it’s surprise attack in 2022 (see the last four maps bottom of the page BBC). In all of 2024 Russia managed to take 4000 sq km of Ukraine territory; an area 5 times the size of New York City. 100K Russian soldiers died and another 300K were wounded (al Jazeera). Keep in mind Trump loyalist Matt Gaetz was the one who ousted Speaker of the House McCarthy and stopped aid to Ukraine.

Trump also said that this whole affair risks World War III. He’s backwards. The biggest risk of World War III lies with his buddy Putin’s imperialist ambitions and a Western policy of appeasement (Imperial War Museums). The failure of the West to respond forcefully to Putin’s invasion of Crimea in February of 2014 and giving concessions for military actions in Donbass has done no more than embolden the tyrant. Trump’s isolationism is also emboldening People’s Republic of China’s President for Life Xi Jinping (The Conversation).

The reality in Russia? Sanctions are biting. The EU weaned itself from Russian oil dependence. Not surprising; Trump wants to lift sanctions against Russia (Foreign Policy). Putin is losing so many soldiers he needs help from North Korea for more. Putin faces rising discontent in his own country (The Jamestown Foundation). Putin is close to losing his job; that’s the real reason the Trumpians are so focused on bringing this to an end. Their man god Phil looks foolish for thinking Ukraine could be taken in a few weeks.

Be thankful a sellout like Trump wasn’t running Great Britain in the first days of World War II. Zelensky has managed to rally his country and garner support to fight against tyranny in our age. Are we going to back down to Putin and tyrants like him in their quest for world domination? When the entirety of Western Europe fell to the fascists Britains dug their heels in and fought back, despite the fact they were losing. Claiming Ukraine was in no position to keep fighting is false and cowardly. Where are the Winston Churchills of today?

Matthew 4:8 Next, taking him to a very high mountain, the devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor 9 And he said to him, ‘I will give you all these, if you fall at my feet and do me homage.’
