The Old Glory Club

We’ve been examining the influence on opinion by the news; specifically noting the domination of Hamas leaning news stories in US media. We’ve also noted the misrepresentation by US news organizations, by omission, of nations who have called to recognize a Palestinian state. The part they haven’t reported on is the call of the Arab League, France, the Palestinian Authority and other nations for Hamas to surrender to the Palestinian Authority as part of their declaration.

In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, with international support and engagement, in line with the goal of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state. New York Declaration Article 11

This is newsworthy. Is there an attempt to extend this conflict?

On July 5, 2025, The Guardian ran a story about a men’s association called The Old Glory Club. The organization is made of military and law enforcement members, lawyers and other professionals and antisemitic influencers.

The Old Glory Club (OGC) – which has at least 26 chapters in 20 US states and until now has drawn little attention – exemplifies the alarming rise of organized racist political groups in the past few years but especially during the rise of Donald Trump and his return to the White House. The Guardian

Members interests include neo-Confederate pleas for the redemption of Confederate symbols and the Confederate cause and a laudatory discussion of the 1967 documentary of post-colonial Africa, Africa Addio, which film critic Roger Ebert once called “a brutal, dishonest, racist film”

The Old Glory Club sells “cancel insurance” to help members whose careers are destroyed because of their far right views and comments. The OGC’s senior figures also have a track record of making deeply racist statements and affiliating with known far-right activists. “

OGC member and podcaster Pete Quinon has produced hundreds of hours of content marked by racism and antisemitism, which has included urging listeners to take direct action against Jewish and non-white neighbors. In response to the Israel Iran missile war; “It’s Jews,” he began. “You can’t live with them. You can’t allow them in. If you allow them in, you have to suppress them. But it’s better not to allow them in,” Quinones continued: “Don’t do business with them. Do as much business as you can with heritage (ie white) Americans.”

How well connected are the members of the OGC? How much leverage can they, or other similar organizations, garner to promote propaganda for their agenda?
