In March of 2025 the Donald Trump administration’s FBI reduced it’s effort to investigate white supremacist anti government groups in the United States (Reuters). This is in spite of beliefs that these groups pose as much a terrorist threat as the Islamic State (Reuters).
The Base, an anti-Semitic white supremacist group with a large following in the Pacific Northwest and land in Washington State has taken notice. The founder of the movement is Rinaldo Nazzaro, of American-Russian decent, who currently resides in Vladimir Putin‘s Russia (Counter Extremism Project). Nazzaro has called for targeted attacks against Ukraine (The Guardian). Nazzare previously worked for the FBI.

It is likely The Base members have been involved in disseminating pro Russian / anti Ukraine propaganda online and possible they have been involved in sabotage or other efforts internationally. They are able to use crypto currency to move finances internationally to fund their operations.
