In yesterday’s post we explored how ISIS helped the Ayatollah Khamenei and Vladimir Putin by staging terrorist attacks in their countries. These attacks were political acts; designed to take attention away from popular uprisings. When attacked people of a nation tend to come together out of fear of a common enemy. Citizens of a targeted nation will naturally rally around their leader and become highly suspicious of anyone opposed to the regime. 9/11 had this effect on the US; George Bush Jr would have been a lame duck president had the Twin Tower attack not happened.

US President for Life ( probably not going to happen) Donald Trump has been creating a big diversion from the Venezuelan opposition with his attacks on drug smuggling boats. We don’t know if the boats are making money for Venezuelan President for Life Nicolas Maduro<< or not. What we do know is it would be out of character for the great white Phil to uproot one of his own from leading a nation. It would be in character for him to help prevent one from losing control.

Donald Trump announced to the world the CIA would be conducting covert operations in Venezuela. The news has been showing video of special operations helicopters nearby. Covert operations are generally not announced to the world. Conducting covert operations requires secrecy; hence the name “covert.” Announcing these things risks people’s lives and operational success.

So why announce it? Because this is grand theater. The point of Trump’s glorious war on Venezuelan drugs is to divert Venezuelans from the opposition movement and give them an external enemy to fear. This fear will unite the populace behind Maduro and strengthen his hand against the opposition. 2,000 US Marines are not going to take on the 109,000 troops of the Venezuelan Army.

The same strategy used to assist Putin and Khamenei is being employed to help Nicolas Maduro by the same man gods. It would be out of character, and cost him his base, if Trump were to provide military assistance to Maduro.

Trump’s payoff is we aren’t thinking about the Epstein Files.
