ICE and Budgets, are We Being Played?

Let’s talk about the past two budget battles. One was in November 2025, the Democrats were trying to keep the ACA relief funds. This was to continue subsidizing health care for those who need it. The second was February 2026. This budget battle focused on Icegruppen Lynn and their incredibly provocative violent actions.

Back in November when the left was trying to stymie the budget for health care subsidies they were also trying to pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act. There was no way for the Act to pass while the government was shut down. The best action was to pass the budget, extend debate on the ACA and pursue the release of the Epstein files. This is what the center left did and it worked. The Trump administration hasn’t fulfilled it’s obligations under the act, and impeachments should follow. At least there is more material out there from the Epstein stash.

In January and February of 2026 the budget battle focused on ICE shootings, gangland tactics, deportation of people seeking asylum, their incarceration conditions and the intimidation of protesters. The budget battle in the prior paragraph is not the same as the current situation. I suggested the left refuse to pass the budget at all and demand accountability for ICE crimes (Shut It Down). This did not happen. Now there will be a separate debate over funding the Dept of Homeland Security.

If there were a terrorist attack during a shutdown of DHS the left would take the blame in the eyes of John Q Public. It wouldn’t matter that the Donald Trump administration cut funding for terrorism prevention (below).

Another point; using the budget as leverage in the case of these quasi fascist buffoons who have killed civilians and run ramshackle over human rights would be for a just cause. It would have been good use of political leverage. Refusing to pass the entire budget comes from a position of strength – the only way to deal with tyrants.

Makes us wonder if there’s an imitation leftie sky daddy telling us to fight when we should deal, run when we should fight.
