Graham Platner‘s bid for the Senate is over. That’s probably for the best. We wouldn’t want another Joe Manchin event in the Senate, particularly now the predictions are for yet another 50/50 party split. If you don’t remember Manchin was a democrat who kept screwing the democrat agenda by voting with the republicans. His spot in a supposedly 50/50 Senate meant he controlled the vote (4dforum). He wasn’t really a democrat.

Platner came from a well to do family. He dropped out of prep school. He joined the USMC and served 3 combat tours. He then joined the Army National Guard and served a fourth in Afghanistan. He then worked as a security contractor. He bought an oyster farm and sold product to his mother’s restaurant. He had the right background and could recite the far left planks with populist flair. Virtually a shoe in.
