Trump Offers to Buy Putin’s Diesel

Today US president Donald Trump announced diesel fuel from Vladimir Putin‘s Russian Federation would be available for US companies to purchase. This flies in the face of recent legislation sanctioning Russia for it’s aggression against Ukraine.

“Those efforts most recently included the enactment of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, empowering Trump to impose tariffs up to 100% on the top purchasers of Russian crude oil or gas, among other restrictions. Trump signed the bill into law just three weeks ago.” – CNBC

Trump and Pete Hegseth have shown no shame in their desire to assist Putin since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The price of diesel is higher because of Trump’s failure to stop Iran’s ability to control the flow of ships through the Straits of Hormuz.

It’s the same reason Masoud Pezeshkian‘s Iran can still launch drones and missiles at targets outside of it’s borders. Sound military doctrine is to eliminate the enemies ability to strike outside it’s nation or at air targets before any other goal. This has been done in every US conflict. Taking out drone and missile manufacturing in Iran would hurt Putin. Russia buys drones and missiles from Iran.
