The Spanish Inquisition began in 1478 and was instituted by Ferdinand II of Aragon. He requested Pope Sixtus IV grant him the Inquisition to expel and punish Jews and Muslims who made “fake” conversions to Christianity after the Reconquista. Ferdinand II also demanded that friar Tomas de Torquemada be made the Grand Inquisitor. There are theories about why the Pope granted this level of control to Ferdinand; one is the Pope needed military help to fight against an invasion by the Ottoman Empire that failed to appear. There is probably a different reason.
Did you know? Ferdinand II declared his daughter Juanita de Castille insane and had her locked in prison for 50 years.
Did you know? Pope Sixtus IV was known for the Pazzi Conspiracy and Aeterni Regis; the papal bull legitimizing the Portuguese slave trade
According to the later published chronicle of the Italian historian Stefano Infessura, Diary of the City of Rome, Sixtus was a “lover of boys and a sodomite” and awarded benefices and bishoprics in return for sexual favors. He nominated a number of young men as cardinals – Wikipedia
Owing to the use of torture to extract confessions, and his advocacy of burning those declared guilty at the stake, Torquemada’s name has become synonymous with cruelty, religious intolerance, and fanaticism. The number of people burned at the stake during Torquemada’s tenure has been estimated at 2,000 – Wikipedia
The souls had been harvested and reprogrammed to fear and obey the giants. The result was the homogenization of Spanish society; much easier to control particularly in future lifetimes.
The Aztecs had an 18 month year. Each month ritual sacrifices were performed. The calendar is available here on Wikipedia. They sacrificed men women and children during these festivals in horrific displays. As noted horrific deaths act as a mental block to a soul’s memories. They could then be whisked away by giants.
Montezuma would talk to his “god” by piercing his foreskin with a porcupine quill. He would commune with his giant “god” who wanted more sacrifices as the year of the return of Quetzalcoatl approached. “Miraculously” this was the year of the arrival of Hernan Cortes, 1519.
Truth is Montezuma’s god couldn’t stick around too long, had to get back to his body for important meetings in the royal court or with the Bishop.
