The 7 giant Controllers harvested souls during the war for the Iberian Peninsula and from the Spanish Inquisition. There was too much comparative religion going on in Andalusia. These guys know their secrets are buried in the Tanakh and wish to wipe out Judaism (and Yazidism) forever. Montezuma, king of the Aztecs, was handled by whomever he thought was “god” to sacrifice people from captured tribes; more souls to re-program. When he wanted to talk to (or summon) his “god” he would go up in the pyramid and pierce his foreskin with a porcupine quill. The Controller playing god to Montezuma knew the year that Quetzalcoatl was supposed to return simply by getting his subject to think about it.
Conveniently, Hernan Cortes was given the promise of a governorship in Mexico. He was born in Hispanola. The appointment was revoked but his handler directed him to go anyway. The people of Central America didn’t think he was a god because he had horses or guns. They saw who was on his back. Since the year was correct they thought he was Quetzalcoatl returned.
When Cortes arrived the tribes of those conquered by the Aztecs joined forces with him. This is because, as planned, Montezuma had sacrificed their sons and daughters. An action can be planned to create a reaction. Of course, when it was over the Europeans enslaved the other tribesmen as well. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

In 1978 when Phil (says he’s Rommel but wasn’t) was working in Saudi Arabia for Aramco, the Iranian Revolution kicked off. The Shah had been dealing with protests and a counter insurgency of Shia Muslims. The Shah, a progressive, had been pushing Islamist buttons by considering changing the calendar to one based on Zoroastrianism (as opposed to the Islamic one) and allowing women to vote.
Shah Pahlavi suspended the constitution and everyone else got angry as well. He was suddenly being influenced; or handled. His security forces (with handled leaders?) were heavy handed. The situation was dire. The wise gods of Mordor suggested returning the Ayatollah Khomeini from exile in France saying he would bring peace to the nation. Khomeini even promised his intention was not to take over the country, taqiyya.
Khomeini’s Controller guided him to lead the Shia clergy and manipulate other factions of the revolution. After victory over the Shah, Khomeini destroyed these other factions; more souls to be re-programmed. The constitution was never restored.
After the revolution, Khomeini and Saddam Hussein of Iraq had a war that lasted 8 years; more souls to be re-programmed. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.
