Abraham was a Babylonian from the city of Ur. His father, Terah, departed Ur to go to the land of Canaan but didn’t complete the trip. Instead he stopped in a place called Harran, near a tributary of the Euphrates.
Genesis 11:31 And Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter in law, the wife of Abram his son, and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees to go to the land of Canaan, and they came as far as Haran and settled there.
Yhwh, war god of the Canaanites, came to Abraham and bid him to come to the land of Canaan.
Genesis 12:1 And Yhwh said to Abram, “Go forth from your land and from your birthplace and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you…5 And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had acquired, and the souls they had acquired in Haran, and they went to go to the land of Canaan, and they came to the land of Canaan.
Yhwh and Abraham use a ruse to gain access to the Pharaoh’s harem. They tell the Egyptian princes that Sarah is Abraham’s sister. They take her to their king’s harem and Yhwh follows; navigation is difficult when out of one’s body (navigation tricks). They do the same to Ablimech of Gerar in Genesis 20.
Claiming the Pharaoh has sinned against Abraham and afflicting his harem, Yhwh is able to make Abraham wealthy and Sarah is returned. Then, from a dispute between Lott and Abraham, and that Sodom and Gomorrah speak against Yhwh, these cities of the plains are destroyed.
Where were these souls taken to reincarnate?
The Jews in the book of Exodus lived in Egypt. They, 70 people, had come with Jacob to live there with Joseph who had won the Pharaoh’s favor. The Jews became wealthy and prosperous. Exodus begins at a later time with a new Pharaoh who felt threatened by their success.
Exodus 1:16 And he (a new Pharaoh who didn’t remember Joseph) said, “When you deliver (from) the Hebrew women, and you see on the birth stool, if it is a son, you shall put him to death, but if it is a daughter, she may live... 21 Now it happened the gods saw the midwives and made houses for them. 22 And Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “Every son who is born you shall cast into the Nile, and every daughter you shall allow to live.”
Could the Pharaoh have been targeting Moses? Possibly. It is obvious he wanted these males to be reprogrammed and reborn Egyptian. The Jewish women would end up with Egyptian husbands and, eventually, would all conform to the Egyptian society and beliefs. That Pharaoh the living god was their master.
The gods sabotaged this plan by helping the midwives. And despite the Pharaoh’s attempt Moses lived and was raised by an Egyptian princess and a Jewish nurse maid. This Pharaoh enslaved the Hebrews.
When Moses grew up he garnered the wrath of the Pharaoh by killing an Egyptian. The Pharaoh sought to have him slain but he escaped. He found refuge and a wife in Midian.
Yhwh appeared to him and told him to return to Egypt because those that sought his death had died. He told him to go to the Pharaoh and demand the Jews be freed and beset upon the Egyptians a series of plagues.
After each plague Yhwh made sure the Pharaoh would not free his people so he could visit upon them yet another plague. He said it was to let everyone know Yhwh was the most powerful god.
Exodus 11:10 Moses and Aaron had performed all these miracles before Pharaoh, but Yhwh strengthened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel out of his land.
The last plague was the killing of all the first born Egyptians. The Hebrews were instructed to mark their doors to identify themselves and not have death visited upon them.
Exodus12:29 It came to pass at midnight, Yhwh smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who is in the dungeon, and every firstborn animal.
Exodus 12:51 It came to pass on that very day, that Yhwh took the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt with their legions.
Where were these these souls taken to reincarnate?
This wasn’t enough for Yhwh. He intentionally arranged a way to destroy the Pharaoh’s army and also collect their souls.
Exodus 14:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and let them turn back and encamp in front
of Pi hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; in front of Baal Zephon, you shall encamp
opposite it, by the sea. 3 And Pharaoh will say about the children of Israel, They are trapped in the land. The desert has closed in upon them. 4 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will be glorified through Pharaoh and through his entire force, and the Egyptians will know that I am Yhwh. And they did so.
Where were these souls taken to reincarnate?
Who was this Yhwh, powerful killer who says “thou shalt not kill?” Consider the following similarities between Egyptian beliefs and the Law given to Moses.

- “I have not committed adultery.”

- “I have not defrauded offerings.”

In ancient Egyptian religion the heart of the person gets weighed against a feather, if the heart is heavier the soul goes to Ra’s buddy Anubis and taken to hell. All have sinned and come short of the glory…. Jews believed souls went to the valley of Gehinnom, an actual place. My Jewish Learning
Abraham’s soul collecting gives us a hint as to what he was. He brought them with him from Harran. Abraham would have been a sorcerer who previously was a Babylonian “god.” At some point, their identities discovered, it would have been time to move to a new empire. Yhwh would have proceeded Terah and Abraham.
Who was this Yhwh in person. Being an Egyptian in the lifetime of Moses would explain the law. The souls collected would be programmed to worship him or a cohort. The entire charade being a great way to get rid of the perceived threat of the successful Hebrews as the first Pharaoh wanted. Their religious ideas were incompatible with that of the Egyptians who did not teach reincarnation. The bonus was a buffer state between Egypt and Babylon.
Another possibility is that Yhwh and company’s identities in Egypt had been discovered. Destroying Egypt on the way out would help hide their secrets. A third answer could be they were hedging their bets and stayed in Egypt. They could play Ra and Yhwh at the same time. It should be noted the Canaanites sacrificed their first born to their gods.

Where were these souls taken to reincarnate? That’s tough to answer; they came back as either Egyptians, Jews or Canaanites.
