Birds of a Feather

During the initial invasion of Ukraine, Vlad Putin‘s Russian forces committed a number of atrocities. Ukraine’s counter offensives have retaken about a third of that territory (MSN). Because of this war crimes committed by Russia have been documented.

Currently it seems US President Donald Trump‘s sky daddy wants him to cut a deal with Vlad and exclude Zelensky. They will cut up Ukraine to his and Vlad’s pleasure and criticize Ukraine if they don’t go along with the farce agreement.

In light of this, let’s review some of Russia’s war crimes during the first few months of the invasion.

In the town of Bucha civilians were tortured and killed by Russian forces.

“It was a system,” the man said. “They were killing people systematically. I personally heard how one sniper was boasting that he ‘offed’ two people he saw in apartment windows…. There was no need. There was no military justification to kill. It was just torturing civilians. On other blocks, people were really tortured. They were found with their hands tied behind their backs and shot in the back of the head.” Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk said on April 2 that about 300 locals had been killed during the Russian occupation of the town and that some 280 bodies had been discovered in a mass grave. In the recaptured town of Izium another mass grave was discovered.

Sergei Bolvinov, a senior investigator for Ukrainian police in the eastern Kharkiv region, told British TV broadcaster Sky News that a pit containing more than 440 bodies was discovered near Izium after Kyiv’s forces swept in. He described the grave as “one of the largest burial sites in any one liberated city.”…”We have already come across the exhumation of individual bodies, not only with traces of a violent death, but also of torture — cut off ears, etc. This is just the beginning,” Enin said in an interview with Ukraine’s Radio NV. Russian routinely fired upon civilian convoys fleeing the cities they invaded

“The vehicles were moving all together as a civilian convoy. We can see that there is almost no distance between the vehicles,” said Filya, a Ukrainian soldier who guided AFP to the scene. “And obviously they were attacked by gunfire because you can see the bullet holes… One car was set on fire and it’s impossible to recognize the people without an expert.” Al-Arabiya

A doctor in a Kherson hospital described people he had treated and bodies he examined to Caroline Davies of the BBC.

“Some of the worst were burn marks on genitals, a gunshot wound to the head of a girl who was raped and burns from an iron on a patient’s back and stomach. The patient told me two wires from a car battery were attached to his groin and he was told to stand on a wet rag”, the doctor adds. BBC
