US President for Life hopeful Donald Trump posted a video on Truth Social mocking Nancy Pelosi. The video alludes to the attack on her husband Paul when an assailant, David DePape, tried to kill him with a hammer.

In 2007, DePape started a personal blog, initially writing about topics such as spirituality and the natural psychedelic ibogaine. In the months before the attack, DePape resumed writing on his blog after a long hiatus, this time on conspiracy theories and alt-right politics. In posts on social media and at least two blogs, DePape espoused far-right views, promoting QAnon, Pizzagate, and other far-right conspiracy theories, as well as sharing far-right Internet memesWikipedia

DePape was sentenced to 30 years for the attack.


Charlie Kirk, the recently slain right wing influencer, during a 2022 episode of his podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show” implored patriots to provide bail money for David DePape. As noted above he was the perpetrator in a home invasion and hammer assault on Paul Pelosi.

American and Delta Airlines grounded pilots who posted celebratory remarks over the death of Charlie Kirk. The argument was whether they were mentally competent to fly if they thought Kirk’s death was a positive thing.

MSNBC news analyst Matthew Dowd was fired following what the network deemed to be inappropriate comments while reporting on the death of Charlie Kirk. Dowd speculated the killing could be related to “hateful words” leading to “hateful actions.” Factually this could turn out to be true if that is the motive behind the shooting.

The hypocrisy in the actions of these companies and the right wing comments above is obvious. For years the far right has been spouting blatantly slanderous and libelous accusations against left wing politicians like this one. They did this while trying to say the left is responsible for censorship.


In related news, the dictatorship of Kim Jong Un‘s North Korea has been executing it’s citizens for sharing foreign films and TV dramas. Kim’s efforts to control access to information of it’s people inspired him to make the law. According to escapees from North Korea the executions are conducted in public to intimidate people out of seeking information from outside the official North Korean channels.

“No other population is under such restrictions in today’s world,” it (the UN report) concluded, adding that surveillance had become “more pervasive”, helped in part by advances in technology. BBC
