When it comes to harvesting souls, that is killing people and taking their souls to be reprogrammed, it doesn’t matter to them how it is accomplished. If they are intended to be good little Spartan Derliwangers or murder Sharon Tate (Grunge) is not the point. If they are boys and girls to be part of the 72 virgins for their army of Derliwangers isn’t important either.

What is important to them is that it will seem historically feasible to people in the future. That is why a race war, socialist revolution, religious conflict is more appealing than a “Spanish Inquisition” in these times. The truth is that any such conflict would bring the full force of the government and the death of those targeted. A terrorist attack followed by a severe government crackdown might inspire a revolution that would end the same way.

Other historically feasible events might be a pandemic or a surge of criminal gangs similar to the cartels in Mexico. Before the latter plan could work it would be necessary to ban weapons in the US.
