Trump and Putin Have Someone In Common

On July 31st Donald Trump blamed congressional efforts to investigate his presidential campaign’s ties to Russia for Vladimir Putin‘s invasion of Ukraine last year. Trump said that “mass hysteria” stoked by the “Russiagate Hoax” had been partly responsible for driving Russia to invade Ukraine (Newsweek).

This is, of course, bullshit. According to leaked documents that appear to be from the Kremlin, Putin ordered his three spy agencies to find ways to support Trump in his bid for the US Presidency in 2016. This meeting took place in January of 2016 (The Guardian).

On November 7, 2022 the leader of Russia’s Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, stated he had interfered in the US elections and would attempt to do so in the future (Reuters). This was before his falling out with Putin and the Kremlin made no attempt to dial back his remarks.

Putin isn’t really a fan of fair elections as demonstrated by his rigged win in a referendum held in 2021 to determine his eligibility to continue on as president for 12 more years (VOANews). The strong backlash of the opposition and protests against this unfair election has a lot more to do with Putin’s invasion of Ukraine than an US Congressional investigation. The Ukraine invasion provided a distraction from unrest against his rule.

Trump parroting of Tass News propaganda hasn’t helped the situation. Some experts believe he even contributed to the problems; his rhetoric emboldening Putin.

Experts say Trump’s actions weakened Ukraine, divided NATO, emboldened Putin and helped get us to where we are today. And even with Trump no longer in office, his impact lives on in the form of Putin-friendly commentary in conservative media and from some Republican lawmakers.” (CNN)

The reality? Trump and Putin have the same “god.” Timing the invasion during midterm elections was Phil’s way of attempting to sabotage the democrats. He expected Biden to stay out of it and not support Ukraine.

Trump’s promise to stop backing Ukraine if elected and the “alt right” trying to blame NATO for Putin’s aggression makes us wonder if Karl himself is telling them what to say and do.

Putin doesn’t read 4dforum, but his handlers do. July 2, 2020. Karl wasn’t Erwin Rommel like he claims.
