Trump and Vlad Trying to Pull a Fast One

US President (not for life anymore) Donald Trump and his good buddy Russian President for Life Vladimir Putin are attempting to pull a fast one. Since their pleasant get together in Alaska Vlad has increased the pace of his advance into the Donetsk region of Ukraine. The push has been slow and costly in terms of Russian canon fodder and material supplies.

ISW assesses that the Russian rate of advance intensified since the Alaska summit, with Russian forces advancing an average of 9.3 square kilometers per day between August 15 and November 20. Russian gains notably have still been confined to a foot pace even during this period of faster advances. Russian forces would finalize the seizure of the remainder of Donetsk Oblast only in August 2027 at this rate of advance, assuming Russian forces can maintain the current faster rate of advance Institute for the Study of War

Now, the purpose of this highly propagandized advance and meeting in Alaska is finally clear! Trump and Putin did a sneaky. Trump all of a sudden jumped up with a “peace plan” that is nothing more than pre-planned scam. Some of the points are;

  • A decrease in the size of Ukraine’s military
  • Secession of Ukraine lands currently held by Russia
  • A promise by Ukraine not to join NATO

Are you kidding me? This is an obvious and ridiculous move by Trump and Putin to undermine Ukrainian self determination.

The “Battle for Pokrovsk” has been featured heavily in the TV news. It is a town who’s population was only 60 thousand people before the Russian invasion. This is not the Battle of Stalingrad or the Conquest of Constantinople. It’s a small town with a crossroads and a train station. The Russian army pushed for 2 months and suffered heavy losses to get there. This is a pace they probably cannot maintain.

Why does Trump want to end this conflict now? It gives Putin a chance to take a territory the wouldn’t be able to take for a long time. The “peace” would also provide relief so he can build up his forces and invade Ukraine again at a later time, probably when a Democrat is in the US presidency. According to this treaty Ukraine would have a smaller military for him to contend with. Trump’s man god might not get another opportunity before the Epstein files come out

Don’t let these clowns pull a fast one. Congress, the branch that handles the money, needs to stand up and force Trump to fund Ukraine.
