US President (Phil’s boy) Donald Trump doesn’t have a good track record of apprehending fascist crooks. The current standoff with Venezuela is just grand theater.
General Salvador Cienfuegos was the Mexican Secretary of National Defense from 2012 to 2018. The US DEA determined that he was also helping money launder for the H2 Cartel using the alias El Padrino.
Cienfuegos was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport. Trump and his Attorney General (wonderboy) William Barr dropped the charges and returned Cienfuegos to Mexico. He has been living the good life ever since.
Today Politico reports that Trump has pardoned former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez. Hernandez was arrested and found guilty in 2021. He was sentenced to life in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering for Mexican cartels.
The United States specifically charged Hernández with accepting millions of dollars in bribes from narcotraffickers since 2004, and in particular the Sinaloa Cartel, led at the time by Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, since 2012. The indictment states that Tony Hernández collected the bribes using men armed with machine guns; in exchange, Juan Orlando Hernández conspired to protect smugglers from investigation and arrest, specifically providing “access to law enforcement and military information, including data from flight radar in Honduras. It is farfetched that Trump and wonderboy Pete Hegseth are hitting Venezuelan drug boats because they actually care about drugs being smuggled into the US. The timing of the pardon of Hernandez seems “too good to be true.”
Because it is.
If Trump and Hegseth get impeached will we forget about the Epstein files, and everyone else in them?
Treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors. If there are grounds, impeach them anyway.
