On 17 May, 1987 an Iraqi jet fired two Exocet missiles at the frigate USS Stark. 37 US sailors were killed and 21 were wounded (Wikipedia). This occurred during the Iran Iraq War. The US was a supporter of the Iraqi war effort. Whatever possessed the Iraqi pilot?
The pilot, Abdul Rahman, was flying a modified civilian model Dassault Falcon 50. According to Iraqi officials he was not acting under orders. It had been reported by the US that he was since executed. According to author Jean-Louis Bernard however, he was not punished and still alive. It was later reported that he defected to Iran.
The incident posed a risk to Iraq’s US support in the Iran Iraq War. The gods of Mordor had arranged the ascension of Ayatollah Ruhola Khomeini by manipulating at least one Carter administration official, the Shah, and by guiding Khomeini. The Carter administration helped the Ayatollah return to Iran from exile in France.
The man gods wanted Iraq to lose the war and have the Iraqi Shia majority align itself with Iran. The UN was brokering a cease fire that took effect in Aug 1988 and it threatened their plan. A handler trained as a pilot guided Rahman.
Mir Hossein Mousavi, the Iranian Prime Minister, called the attack a “divine blessing.” He was a little off base.
Phil (says he was Rommel but wasn’t), a leader of the MFs of Mordor, was working in Saudi Arabia from 1978 through 1990. Saddam Hussein was took over Iraq with the help of the CIA in 1979, under advisement of a man god of Mordor. This was soon after the Ayatollah took over Iran. Phil handled Hussein; his role is to appear aligned to the US government and right wing. The Ayatollah Khomeini took over Iran the same year and was handled by another from Mordor. The Iran Iraq war was a way for both countries to purge undesirable souls as the man gods like to do after taking over a country..

Phil convinced Hussein the US would not act if he were to invade Kuwait. This was not true, but Hussein believed it. He had enjoyed US support in the war and thought he was talking to an angel of Allah or a US backed facsimile.
Bush Sr and the coalition were too smart to invade Iraq.
Remember the giant Phil (calls himself Rommel but wasn’t) stumping around the 4th D encouraging George Bush Jr to invade Iraq? Many of us do. Remember his son in the SW saying it was just a ploy to create a power vacuum in Iraq so Iran could fill it? Some of us do. Crystal ball or common sense?
Bush Jr was not so smart, or possibly, not so inclined.
The US invaded Iraq in March of 2003 after 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan. The man gods knew it was only a matter of time until the US forces would leave. Diverting resources, money and manpower away from the US’s involvement in Afghanistan was a waste and they knew it. Hussein posed no immediate threat.
On 13 February 2023 Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein spoke at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC. He rejected the idea that Iran had undo influence in the Iraqi government, but admitted they had influence in Iraqi political parties.
Iran has emerged as the most influential foreign player in Iraq since U.S.-led forces toppled Saddam Hussein’s regime in 2003. Iran has taken advantage of deep cultural and religious ties—and a 900-mile border—to permeate Iraq’s political, security, economic, and religious spheres United States Institute of Peace.
Is the Ayatollah Khamenei‘s influence a welcome addition to Iraqi society considering the protests in Iran (The Guardian)? Does he knows he is being guided by a cohort of the one who guided Derliwanger?
If there were such a thing as the ability to read minds all positions of political, religious and economic influence would be held by people so endowed. This would have always been the case; never different than it is now. – Capt McCoy
